Thanks for the reply...this whole thing seems backwards...you know for 400 bucks one would think they would do this different.....i have drilled a new hole into the mounting plate and bolted the kickstand directly to the new plate....now i need to find a way to hook up the spring....i have disassembled the original bracket completely and could do the bolt over deal but i dont know how it would look...do you have any pics of this...if it doesnt look bad i will probably do it rather than drilling again to mount the spring...just seems like it will look a bit cluttered. thanks,
